April 12
We’ve been dropping off all the baking treats we’ve been cooking up over the last couple of weeks to my Grandma who lives alone nearby.
Tonight we just heard some strange noises coming from outside our front door and went to investigate. When I got outside we had a big surprise and a bit of shock… my 90 year old Grandma moonlighting as the Easter Bunny had braved the pre-storm winds in Auckland to walk over to our place and drop off chocolates and a lovely card.
She took a five minute rest and was off again on her nightly walk back home, saying that she had already dropped Easter eggs with our young cousins too.
Beaming with gratitude for the effort she took with her acts of kindness. Not an easy walk for her and certainly a memorable surprise for us.
